Floor Renovation for Home & Condo Remodeling

Planning new floors as part of a home or condo remodel in Broward or Miami-Dade? Florida Quality Builders Corp. helps homeowners plan flooring alongside the rest of the renovation, from the rooms included to transitions between existing and new finishes.

Share your project location, photos of the current floors and the changes you have in mind. Discuss your flooring project with our team so the proposal can reflect your space and the work involved.

Plan the floors around your renovation

A flooring project starts with how you want to use the space. You may want a consistent finish across adjoining rooms, new flooring within a larger remodel, or an update to selected areas. Decide which rooms are included and where the new floor will meet surfaces you plan to keep.

For a full-home remodel, flooring should be considered alongside changes to the layout, cabinetry and other finishes. For a condo remodel, share any building requirements and access arrangements before the scope is finalized.

What to discuss before an estimate

  • Rooms and existing surfaces: Tell us which areas you want to change and what flooring is there now.
  • Material preferences: Share the look you want, any products you are considering and how the rooms are used. Product suitability and installation requirements need to be reviewed for the actual space.
  • Edges and adjoining finishes: Include transitions, thresholds, baseboards and any areas where existing finishes will remain.
  • Material supply: Agree on who will purchase the flooring and related materials, and confirm the product selection before ordering.
  • Access and sequencing: Let us know whether you will occupy the property during the work and whether other renovation work is planned.

Separate finish flooring from underlying repairs

The visible floor covering is one part of the project. Existing damage or conditions uncovered during removal may require further assessment and work beyond the original flooring scope. Share known leaks, damaged areas or previous repairs when discussing the project.

The written proposal should identify what is included, such as removal, disposal, preparation, installation and finish details where applicable. If concealed conditions change the work, the additional scope, price and schedule should be reviewed and documented before that additional work proceeds.

FAQs

How much will my flooring project cost?

An estimate depends on the areas included, selected materials, existing floor conditions and the work needed around adjoining finishes. Photos and an initial description help start the discussion; a proposal needs to reflect the actual project rather than a general price per square foot.

That decision depends on the existing surface, the proposed flooring and the installation requirements. Confirm removal, preparation and disposal in the written scope instead of assuming they are included.

Discuss this with our team before purchasing. The proposal should state who supplies the materials and how product selection, quantities and delivery fit into the project.
